Slope Cliff Village — What began as a quiet afternoon quickly turned into a scene of chaos and horror as law enforcement responded to a suspected homicide in the hills of Slope Cliff Village. The Vinewood Journal’s own Jonathan Steele was on scene as the San Andreas Highway Patrol stormed the residence with rifles drawn, moments before a flood of additional units arrived to secure the area.
According to early reports, investigators discovered what is believed to be multiple dismembered bodies, each showing severe blunt force trauma, the now-familiar method linked to the serial killer known as the Snowman Killer. The crime scene was so gruesome that officers were forced to don hazmat suits before entering.
Once the Law Enforcement cleared the building, they exited and established a perimeter, allowing detectives and forensic teams to move in. Within minutes, the street was filled with patrol cars, flashing lights, and crime scene tape as more agencies arrived to lock down the neighborhood.
Deputy Chief Adam Vance, who is leading the investigation, confirmed that the Snowman Killer appears to have struck again, marking the third case tied to the same brutal signature. Investigators located a bag containing what appeared to be a human skull inside the home, and two bodies have so far been confirmed. Both victims remain unidentified pending notification of next of kin.
Also discovered was the killer’s chilling calling card: the initials “SMK”, carved into walls and even some of the remains. One of the first responders described the discovery as “something no officer ever gets used to.”
No pattern has yet been established among the victims, only the consistent method, blunt force trauma, and the “SMK” marking. Authorities believe the killer may still be operating in the greater Roxwood area, and are urging residents to remain vigilant.
